Add a cover image or thumbnail to an upload

Every upload can have a cover and thumbnail image. It is the picture shown for that content in your players.

Image requirements

• Landscape orientation, at least 1280 × 720 pixels
• JPG, PNG or WebP
• Under 5 MB

Adding one

You can choose a cover image while you are uploading a file, or add one later by editing the upload. If you pick an image during the upload, it is saved once the file finishes uploading.

Use Replace to swap it and Remove to clear it.

Fill or Fit

After choosing an image, pick how it should sit in the frame:

• Fill — the image covers the whole area and may be cropped at the edges
• Fit — the whole image is shown, with space around it if the shape doesn't match

Uploading many files at once

In a bulk upload, one cover image can apply to every file in the batch. You can still give any individual file its own image, which overrides the shared one for that file only.

The TruGuide player builds its own clips from your content. The cover image represents the upload as a whole; it is not a thumbnail for each individual clip.
